Twenty-one brands, and the shape of this area is unusual: a very deep core and a thin tail.
The core is the PPI group — pantoprazole, omeprazole, esomeprazole, rabeprazole and dexlansoprazole, plain and paired with domperidone, levosulpiride or ondansetron. Thirteen brands across five molecules, which is more depth than most PCD lists carry on any single class.
Around it sits one of nearly everything else: three sugar-free antacid suspensions including a sodium alginate raft preparation, two laxatives, a diastase-pepsin enzyme syrup, a probiotic capsule and a Bacillus clausii spore suspension for the paediatric counter.
PPIs are chronic-course products. That is the commercial point for an associate working Ajmer — a prescription written once tends to be dispensed for months, so the reorder pattern is predictable in a way that acute lines never are.
Everything in the Gastro range is on this page: 19 products with composition, pack and printed MRP against each. By dosage form that is 9 capsules, 5 syrups, 2 tablets and 1 bottle. What is not on the page is the rate, because it depends on the quantity and the route — send both and it comes back.
Each line shows what is in the pack and what the pack is. The rate underneath the printed MRP depends on the quantity and the route, which is why it is quoted rather than published.
The gastro division is the quiet, dependable part of a pharma basket. It does not produce the dramatic first month that anti-infectives do, and it is still producing in the twelfth month when the acute segments have had three flat weeks.
A complete gastro basket runs from the counter products — antacids, enzymes — through the proton pump inhibitors and their combinations to the specialty liver and gall lines. The counter end opens the chemist account; the chronic end pays for it.
The range is not 19 unrelated products. 14 of them sit in brand families that share a stem, which is how a prescriber remembers them and how an associate sells them:
One stem across several presentations is worth real money in a chamber. The prescriber learns one name instead of four, and the associate has one conversation instead of four.
The range is mixed by dosage form: capsules are the largest part at 9 of 18 products, which is about 50 per cent of it. A buyer planning stock has to plan for more than one set of handling rules.
Hard gelatin capsules are almost always packed alu-alu, and for once the expensive pack is not a choice. The shell is gelatin, gelatin takes up moisture, and a capsule that has softened in a strip is a complaint whatever the fill inside it is doing. A blister pack on a capsule is a cost saving the distributor pays for later.
Capsules are the form most often damaged in transit, and almost never by impact. Heat is what does it. A consignment held overnight in a closed truck in May will arrive with strips that look fine and capsules that have gone tacky, and the loss shows up weeks later at a retail counter rather than at the goods-inward gate.
Syrups are sold by bottle volume and bought by carton, and the two numbers rarely line up neatly. A 100 ml bottle in a printed mono carton with a measuring cup is a different product commercially from the same syrup in a 60 ml bottle without one, even though the rate sheet shows one line. Ask which it is before comparing.
Paediatric syrups turn over fast and seasonally, and a stockist who has read the season wrong is sitting on bottles with a dating problem. Shelf life on the batch you are offered is worth asking about on every liquid order, not just the first one.
Franchise, own-brand manufacturing or plain distribution — the Gastro range is available on all three. A franchise appointment is district-wise and exclusive for the range. A third party manufacturing order puts your brand on the carton. Distribution is the simplest of the three and carries no exclusivity.
All three need the same two documents: a valid drug licence and a GST registration in the name of the firm being invoiced.
What the Gastro group contains, by product segments:
The uneven distribution is deliberate rather than accidental: the range is built against how these products are actually written, not to fill every box on a chart.
Most buyers looking at a Gastro list are holding two or three others. Putting them on the same basis takes four checks: the pack size each rate refers to, the printed MRP it sits under, whether it is ex-factory or landed, and whether GST is included.
Rates here are ex-Chandigarh, freight extra at actuals, GST as applicable by product category, payment in advance. A landed quotation already contains a freight figure you cannot see, which is what makes it look sharper than it is.
Across the 19 products here, printed MRPs span ₹90.00 to ₹2,450.00 — a factor of about 27.2 from one end to the other, with the median at ₹1,050.00.
A practical consequence: ordering the whole range in equal quantities ties up far more money in the expensive lines than their share of the prescriptions justifies. Order against the writing in your territory rather than against the list.
1 of the 19 products here do not carry a published MRP on this page; those are confirmed with the rate, because the figure is set against the pack ordered.
By surface transport from Chandigarh unless something else is agreed. Rates are ex-Chandigarh, freight extra at actuals, GST as applicable, payment in advance.
It differs by product and by dosage form — a tablet in alu-alu, a syrup and an injection are three different figures. Send the products and quantities you have in mind and the minimums come back with the rates.
Yes. Any product in this range can be manufactured as third party manufacturing under your brand. You keep the brand, the trademark and the market; you will need a drug licence and GST registration in the invoicing firm's name plus trademark details for the name being printed.
ISO 9001:2015. No plant certification, foreign regulatory approval or government endorsement is claimed for the company or for any product in this range.
Appointments are district-wise and subject to the district still being open. Send your district and your drug licence details and you will be told plainly whether it is.
Yes, on every route. A valid drug licence and a GST registration in the name of the firm being invoiced are required for distribution, for a franchise appointment and for a third party manufacturing order alike.
19 at present. Composition, pack and printed MRP for each are listed on this page, and all of them are supplied on the same three routes.
Send the products and quantities you want from the Gastro range, together with the district you are working in Ajmer, and you will get net rates against the printed MRPs, the minimum order quantities and a lead time. Say whether this is for distribution, for a franchise appointment or for your own brand and the reply will be specific to that. Call 8264472179 or use the enquiry form.
Send the quantity you need against the pack shown above and we come back with the rate, the minimum order quantity and a lead time. Rates are quoted ex-Chandigarh, freight extra at actuals, GST as applicable to the product category, payment in advance. Expiry and breakage claims are not entertained, which is why the shelf life on the batch you are offered is worth asking about when you order rather than afterwards.
Two documents decide whether an order can be invoiced at all, and they are the same two on all three routes: a valid drug licence in the name of the firm being invoiced — commonly Form 20B and 21B for a wholesaler — and GST registration in that same firm's name. The name on the licence and the name on the invoice have to match; an order held at dispatch is almost always held because they did not.
A third party manufacturing order needs one more: the trademark registration, or the application number, for any brand name you intend to print. That is needed before artwork rather than before dispatch, which gives it a longer runway and makes it easier to forget. Cartons, foils, labels and inserts are produced against artwork you approve before a batch is scheduled, not after it.
If you are applying for a licence now, that is a normal place to be starting from. The quotation can be worked out in the meantime — only the dispatch waits on the paperwork.
Four terms carry every franchise conversation in this industry, and mixing them up is how two quotations get compared that were never comparable:
Those last four words matter more than anything else on this list. Two offers quoting the same PTS are not the same offer if one is ex-factory with freight at actuals and the other is landed at your godown. Before comparing anybody's rate with anybody else's, put both on the same basis: per tablet, bottle or tube rather than per box, since pack sizes differ; against the printed MRP, since the margins are built from it; and ex-factory rather than landed, since freight is a real number and a quotation that has absorbed it has also hidden it. The second thing worth checking is what quantity a rate assumes — a number for a full run and a number for a trial batch are both honest and they are not the same offer.
Franchise appointments are granted by district rather than by state or by city, and they cover the range rather than a single product. Both of those are deliberate. A monopoly on one line is not a territory — an associate who holds one finds the rest of the segment arriving in their market through somebody else. And the practical test of a monopoly is simple: if a company cannot tell you who else holds your district, it is not granting one.
Building a prescriber relationship takes months of visits. An associate who finds a second supplier's representative in the same waiting room has lost those months, which is the whole reason the appointment is written the way it is.
It is shorter than most people expect, and the order of the steps matters because each one depends on the last:
UNOS Biotech is a pharma marketing company. Products are manufactured at licensed third-party units and marketed under the UNOS Biotech name, or under yours. That is the normal structure for most of the PCD and franchise market in this country, and it is worth understanding rather than guessing at, because it tells you what questions are reasonable.
Reasonable: ask for the composition, the pack, the printed MRP, the batch documentation that travels with the goods, and the shelf life on what you are being offered. Not reasonable, and a warning sign when a supplier answers it anyway: asking a marketing company for a plant certification it does not hold. A company that will claim one it has not got will also claim a lead time it cannot meet.
Goods move by surface transport from Chandigarh unless something else is agreed, and the packing is specified for that journey rather than for an ideal one. Every consignment travels with its batch documentation. Composition, pack size and printed MRP are exactly as shown on this page — those are the details on the pack itself.
UNOS BIOTECH PVT. LTD. is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company. That is a quality management system standard, and it is the only certification claimed anywhere on this site. No plant certification, foreign regulatory approval or government endorsement is claimed, because none is held.
The restraint is deliberate and it protects everybody downstream. A distributor who repeats a certification their supplier invented is the one standing in front of the buyer when it gets checked. For anything clinical, what a product contains is stated on the pack, and how it should be used is a matter for a registered medical practitioner and the pack insert — not for a supplier's catalogue page.
