ALKANOS in Chennai
Syrups & SuspensionsDISODIUM HYDROGEN CITRATE 1.37GM
Three alkalizer and urinary-support syrups on citrate and cranberry bases.
Three syrups make up the urology group: potassium citrate with magnesium citrate and vitamin B6 at 200 ml, cranberry with D-mannose, potassium and pyridoxine at 200 ml, and disodium hydrogen citrate 1.37 g at 100 ml.
DISODIUM HYDROGEN CITRATE 1.37GM
POTASSIUM CITRATE 1100MG + MAGNESIUM CITRATE 375MG + VITAMIN B6 20MG
CRANBERRY 200MG + D-MANNOSE 300MG + POTASSIUM 978 + PYRIDOXINE 20MG
Three syrups, all alkalizer or urinary-support preparations.
Disodium hydrogen citrate 1.37 g at 100 ml is the plain one. Potassium citrate 1100 mg with magnesium citrate and vitamin B6 runs at 200 ml. The third is a cranberry 200 mg and D-mannose 300 mg preparation with potassium and pyridoxine — and that one sits under food-supplement licensing rather than as a scheduled drug, which changes the paperwork and who you can sell it to.
Available on a district basis in Chennai, and for contract bottling under your own label.
3 products, one range. By dosage form that is 3 syrups. The Urology list is supplied into Chennai by UNOS BIOTECH PVT. LTD. of Panchkula, Haryana — on franchise with a district-wise monopoly, under your own brand, or as straight distribution to a licensed buyer.
Each line shows what is in the pack and what the pack is. The rate underneath the printed MRP depends on the quantity and the route, which is why it is quoted rather than published.
Supply of any Urology product requires a valid drug licence and a GST registration, both in the name of the firm that will be invoiced. For a wholesale buyer the licence is commonly Form 20B and 21B; what matters is that it covers the firm being billed rather than an associated one.
For a third party manufacturing order there is a third document: the trademark registration or application for any brand name to be printed. That one is needed before artwork rather than before dispatch.
This range is almost entirely syrups — 3 of 3 products. That makes the commercial character of the whole group the commercial character of that one form.
Syrups are sold by bottle volume and bought by carton, and the two numbers rarely line up neatly. A 100 ml bottle in a printed mono carton with a measuring cup is a different product commercially from the same syrup in a 60 ml bottle without one, even though the rate sheet shows one line. Ask which it is before comparing.
Syrup is the heaviest thing in a pharma consignment per rupee of value and the most likely to arrive damaged. Freight on a syrup order to a distant state can be a visible fraction of the landed cost, which is why a rate quoted ex-Chandigarh and a rate quoted landed are not comparable numbers on this form in particular.
The same Urology products are supplied three ways. On franchise, an associate gets a district-wise monopoly on the range and the promotional support that goes with it. On third party manufacturing, a marketing company gets the products under its own brand with its own artwork. On distribution, a licensed wholesaler simply buys and resells.
Which one is right depends on whether you are building a brand, building a territory, or filling a gap on a sheet you already have. The product is identical on all three; the commitment is not.
This division pairs with the anti-infective block, where urinary writing is common enough that the two arrive on one prescription.
Printed MRPs across this range run from ₹110.00 to ₹260.00, with the middle of the list at ₹260.00. The top of the band is about 2.4 times the bottom, which is normal for a group where some lines carry a single inexpensive molecule and others carry a combination with a costly input in it.
That spread is the reason a flat percentage margin across a range rarely works. The rate conversation on the cheap end and the expensive end of this list are different conversations.
Competition is limited and rate pressure mild compared with the commodity divisions.
Yes. Any product in this range can be manufactured as third party manufacturing under your brand. You keep the brand, the trademark and the market; you will need a drug licence and GST registration in the invoicing firm's name plus trademark details for the name being printed.
No. The printed MRP is shown against each product; net rate, PTR and PTS are worked against that MRP and depend on the quantity and the route, which is why they are quoted rather than published.
Appointments are district-wise and subject to the district still being open. Send your district and your drug licence details and you will be told plainly whether it is.
Yes, on every route. A valid drug licence and a GST registration in the name of the firm being invoiced are required for distribution, for a franchise appointment and for a third party manufacturing order alike.
Yes, subject to that product's own minimum order quantity. A franchise appointment covers the range rather than a single line, because a monopoly on one product is not a territory.
It differs by product and by dosage form — a tablet in alu-alu, a syrup and an injection are three different figures. Send the products and quantities you have in mind and the minimums come back with the rates.
ISO 9001:2015. No plant certification, foreign regulatory approval or government endorsement is claimed for the company or for any product in this range.
Three things make this a short conversation: the products you want, the quantity, and your district in Chennai. Net rate, minimum order quantity and lead time come back against those. Call 8264472179 or use the enquiry form on this page.
Send the quantity you need against the pack shown above and we come back with the rate, the minimum order quantity and a lead time. Rates are quoted ex-Chandigarh, freight extra at actuals, GST as applicable to the product category, payment in advance. Expiry and breakage claims are not entertained, which is why the shelf life on the batch you are offered is worth asking about when you order rather than afterwards.
Two documents decide whether an order can be invoiced at all, and they are the same two on all three routes: a valid drug licence in the name of the firm being invoiced — commonly Form 20B and 21B for a wholesaler — and GST registration in that same firm's name. The name on the licence and the name on the invoice have to match; an order held at dispatch is almost always held because they did not.
A third party manufacturing order needs one more: the trademark registration, or the application number, for any brand name you intend to print. That is needed before artwork rather than before dispatch, which gives it a longer runway and makes it easier to forget. Cartons, foils, labels and inserts are produced against artwork you approve before a batch is scheduled, not after it.
If you are applying for a licence now, that is a normal place to be starting from. The quotation can be worked out in the meantime — only the dispatch waits on the paperwork.
Four terms carry every franchise conversation in this industry, and mixing them up is how two quotations get compared that were never comparable:
Those last four words matter more than anything else on this list. Two offers quoting the same PTS are not the same offer if one is ex-factory with freight at actuals and the other is landed at your godown. Before comparing anybody's rate with anybody else's, put both on the same basis: per tablet, bottle or tube rather than per box, since pack sizes differ; against the printed MRP, since the margins are built from it; and ex-factory rather than landed, since freight is a real number and a quotation that has absorbed it has also hidden it. The second thing worth checking is what quantity a rate assumes — a number for a full run and a number for a trial batch are both honest and they are not the same offer.
Franchise appointments are granted by district rather than by state or by city, and they cover the range rather than a single product. Both of those are deliberate. A monopoly on one line is not a territory — an associate who holds one finds the rest of the segment arriving in their market through somebody else. And the practical test of a monopoly is simple: if a company cannot tell you who else holds your district, it is not granting one.
Building a prescriber relationship takes months of visits. An associate who finds a second supplier's representative in the same waiting room has lost those months, which is the whole reason the appointment is written the way it is.
It is shorter than most people expect, and the order of the steps matters because each one depends on the last:
UNOS Biotech is a pharma marketing company. Products are manufactured at licensed third-party units and marketed under the UNOS Biotech name, or under yours. That is the normal structure for most of the PCD and franchise market in this country, and it is worth understanding rather than guessing at, because it tells you what questions are reasonable.
Reasonable: ask for the composition, the pack, the printed MRP, the batch documentation that travels with the goods, and the shelf life on what you are being offered. Not reasonable, and a warning sign when a supplier answers it anyway: asking a marketing company for a plant certification it does not hold. A company that will claim one it has not got will also claim a lead time it cannot meet.
Goods move by surface transport from Chandigarh unless something else is agreed, and the packing is specified for that journey rather than for an ideal one. Every consignment travels with its batch documentation. Composition, pack size and printed MRP are exactly as shown on this page — those are the details on the pack itself.
UNOS BIOTECH PVT. LTD. is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company. That is a quality management system standard, and it is the only certification claimed anywhere on this site. No plant certification, foreign regulatory approval or government endorsement is claimed, because none is held.
The restraint is deliberate and it protects everybody downstream. A distributor who repeats a certification their supplier invented is the one standing in front of the buyer when it gets checked. For anything clinical, what a product contains is stated on the pack, and how it should be used is a matter for a registered medical practitioner and the pack insert — not for a supplier's catalogue page.
Call 8264472179 with the quantity, your district and which of the three routes you are asking about, and the reply will be specific to that.
